2011 Fiat Panda Reviews

2011 Fiat Panda Reviews
The original Fiat Panda debuted in 1980 as an ultra-affordable econobox. The Fiat Panda is noted for its modest design, low ownership costs and fun driving experience.

It comes equipped with a 1.2-liter engine standard, with the fuel-sipping 1.3-liter diesel engine optional. Safety features include anti-lock brakes, and airbags for the driver and passenger (however, side airbags are optional).

Three peppy petrol engines are available – a 1.1-litre rated at 53bhp, a 59bhp 1.2 and a 99bhp 1.4 in the 100 HP range-topper. Ride & Handling
The Fiat Panda displays good body control. The 4WD model retains these fine road manners while performing surprisingly well off-road, too. The 100HP has sharper handling.
Wind- and road noise become increasingly insistent as speeds rise, but overall noise levels aren’t bad.

Decent fuel economy, modest emissions and low insurance groupings mean the Fiat Panda is cheap to run, even the 100HP range-topper.

The biggest news is the approval of the 2011 Fiat Panda range of Euro 5 engines 1.3 Multijet 16v 75 bhp with DPF as standard and 69 bhp 1.2 8v. In particular , the first two productions Vision debuts the fabric of superior quality and best visual impact ( the available colors ,Version Mamy and Cross. The new Fiat Panda 2011 range comprises an extensive range that includes traditional petrol and diesel engines all meet Euro 5 or alternatives ( natural gas and LPG) , as well as versions with front wheel drive or full, The latter enhanced by the electronic differential lock “Electronic Differential Locking ‘with ESP (Electronic Stability Program) .

Fiat 500 commercial

Following months -- if not years -- of anticipation, Fiat is finally weeks away from reentering the U.S. market with its new 2012 Fiat 500. To help prepare consumers for the launch, its retro compact car, and expose buyers to the brand's Italian heritage, the automaker has launched a new wave of TV commercials.

While Fiat plays up the 500's Italian heritage, the car has been modified for the North American market. Although Fiat says the 500 is aimed directly at the Mini Cooper, the $15,500 base price manages to undercut the British car by $4600.

After nearly three decades away, Italian automaker Fiat is set to sell cars again in the United States, starting with the tiny 500.

The car is among a growing crowd of small vehicles entering the U.S. market, all touting small engines and high gas mileage.

Fiat took over Chrysler last year amid the American automaker's Chapter 11 bankruptcy, and in so doing got access to Chrysler's network of dealerships. Orange County is slated to have two Fiat dealerships open soon, Fiat of Irvine (Robert H. Tuttle & Jim Click), and Fiat of Costa Mesa (Jonathan Gray), Chrysler Group LLC announced last week. I got a closer look at the 2012 Fiat 500 at the LA Auto Show, and it looks like a pretty neat little car. Fiat 500 was seen as the star of the LA Auto Show 2010. "Fiat 500" is the model that brings Fiat brand on the US market after an absence of not less than 27 years.

Even though the small city car came on the North American market with softer suspensions and modified interior, the idea of a Fiat 500 is the same:more suited for ladies, combining the Italian classy style with the perfect shapes and sizes of the crowded city roads.
Fiat wants to use, hot commercial in the advertising campaign for Fiat 500 in America.
The brilliant new campaign for the Fiat 500 model is signed by DIESEL.

Fiat Bravo Review

If you want a middle-of-the-road, middle-of-the-range hatchback, you buy a Volkswagen Golf, like hundreds of thousands of satisfied customers across Europe. The Italian company positioned the "" as the best-looking car in its class. The Fiat Bravo was available only as a five-door hatchback and came with the choice of petrol or diesel power. A ¬1.4-litre petrol engine, either with or without turbocharged forced induction, provided a choice of 90bhp, 120bhp or 150bhp, while the 1.9-litre diesel produced 120bhp or 150bhp.

The Fiat Bravo interior is one of its best features. Spend about £600 more and a second-hand Dynamic model adds alloy wheels, dual-sided climate control, cruise control and refrigerated storage under the front arm-rest. The Fiat Bravo falls short of being the class leader because of its lacklustre driving characteristics. Reliability and servicing

Fiat Punto to acquire newly built 4-cylinder engine

Fiat Group's plant in Brazil, formally belonging to Chrysler, will produce engines for the new Fiat Punto. Since the late ‘90s, Tritec Motors, built 1m 4 cylinder 1.6 litre engines for Minis and the Chrysler Neon and PT Cruiser. Since March 2008, the plant has belonged to Fiat Group.

The 538,000 sq/ft facility, located on 321 acres near Curituba, had previously been the focus of media reports, which a Chinese manufacturer wanted to dismantle the factory and take it back to China. Instead, through Fiats investment into Chrysler, the factory has been renovated to the tune of $250m. On three shifts, the plant is aiming to make 40,000 engines by 2014, 40% of which will be exported.

As well as the current 1.6 litre engine, Fiat has developed a new 1.8 litre, producing 130bhp on the E100 ethanol that is supplied throughout Brazil and 128bhp on petrol, both at 5,250 rpm. That engine will be debuting in the Punto Essence 1.8 and Sporting 1.8, linked to a 5 speed Dualogic gearbox.

Both engines are called E.torQ: the E allegedly stands for engineering, energy (dynamism), environment and emotion, and torQ means the twang on low-end power, as much as 80% of maximum torque at just 1,500 rpm. The larger engine replaces the 1.8 litre Opel/Chevrolet engine used since 2001 under the GM-Fiat joint venture, which continued to be supplied after GM and Fiat broke up in 2005.

It goes from 0-60mph in less than 10.5 seconds with a top speed of 114 mph. The 1.8 Essence and 1.8 Sporting models reach 60mph in less than 9.8 seconds and have a top speed of 119 mph, both on ethanol.

Other models likely to be fitted with the new engines include the Linea sedan, which launched in September 2008. Its current 1.9 litre DOHC engine is produced in Argentina but shares all performance specs with the 1.8 litre engine made in Campo Largo.

2011 Fiat 500

Know About the 2011 Fiat 500

Consumer Guide’s Impressions of the 2011 Fiat 500
It’s the Italian Mini Cooper: Retro-cute, fun-to-drive small, and super-stingy with gas. What We Know About the 2011 Fiat 500

Remember Fiat? Remember the joke about Fiat meaning “Fix It Again, Tony”? That was the American rap on these cars: Mechanical maladies, early rust, poor resale value, and mediocre service from a rag-tag dealer body. This dramatic comeback is widely credited to Sergio Marchionne, the Italian-Canadian turnaround specialist who took over in 2004 as CEO of Fiat Auto Group, the vehicle division of the Fiat SpA combine. More recently, Fiat formed a global strategic alliance with Chrysler. Future product plans have yet to be finalized, but early reports say Fiat products and platforms will play a significant part in future Chrysler offerings

There are some interesting parallels between the British-sourced Mini and the expected U.S.-market 2011 Fiat 500. First, both were designed by Frank Stephenson, who joined Fiat after creating the 2002 Mini. (He subsequently moved to head of styling for the Alfa Romeo division, but recently left Fiat’s employ.) The wagon may be a reprisal of the classic Fiat 500 Giardinetta; think Mini Cooper Clubman with an Italian accent. As a 2-door hatchback, which will surely be the mainstay seller, the 2011 Fiat 500 is about 5 inches shorter, over an inch slimmer, and 3.2 inches taller than the equivalent Mini Cooper. Both cars have front-wheel drive, pert retro styling, and seating for four. But where the Mini is built on a purpose-designed platform, the" fiat 500" shares underpinnings with Fiat’s entry-level Panda. Fiat will offer one; perhaps a weight- and fuel-saving automated-manual gearbox.

Today, Peter fills his time writing songs about global warming, which is rather wearisome, but back in 1969 he wrote the definitive guide on how life should be led if Mammon were suddenly to vomit untold riches into your bank account. Aha-haha”.

Similarly, if you were to buy a bolt hole in Paris, as somewhere to keep your old Rolling Stones records, you might go for an apartment on the rue Saint-Honoré. Pah. Nonsense. You should go, as Peter suggests, with “the others of the jet set” to St Moritz.
One chap introduced me to his companion and I’d nearly died of old age by the time he’d finished. God knows where the locals buy a box of Winalot or some bog roll.

Of course, you can buy a watch. Nope. I like this car very much but in St Moritz it was wrong as well. The new Fiat 500. Really cheap. It’s well priced as well.

Fiat Super Sport Car Grande Punto Abarth

The new Abarth Fiat Grande Punto SuperSport will have its premiere this week at the Frankfurt Auto Show. A special Grande Punto Abarth “SuperSport” is making the scene at Geneva, garbed in Airfield Gray paintwork – the same color sported by the Scorpion’s historic racecars, and, as the story has it, taken from the planes based next to the brand’s original headquarters – enlivened by a racing-inspired livery.
Equipped with a 16-valve 1.4 liter engine pumped up to deliver 180 horsepower, with a wrenching 270 Nm peak torque at speeds as low as 3000 revs, the Grande Punto Abarth “SuperSport” racing version hits a top speed of 215 km/h and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in only 7.5 seconds. In addition, a variable backpressure dual-mode exhaust system enhances engine sound, producing a distinctive throaty roar over 4000 rpm. With performance features like these, there can be no doubt that this is a car whose whole heart and soul is in racing.
For its interiors, the car gets leather racing seats and a Magneti Marelli designed sat-nav system. Providing telemetry, the sat-nav display can show engine revs, vehicle speed and the gear engaged. By setting it to “Track” mode, the screen displays its position on the track if the car is on a circuit in the SD card’s memory. These telemetry results can be downloaded later.
The third function – Configuration – makes it possible to store telemetric data for a route and associate them with a personalized session identified by the driver’s name, circuit and date. Stored information can be easily retrieved and analyzed later with the fourth, Analysis, function.

2011 Fiat Sports Car Punto Evo Abarth 1.4 Multiair Petrol Engine

The new 2011 Fiat Punto Abarth Evo offer a choice of two different driving styles – Sport and Normal – to suit road conditions and driver preference. Fiat's tuning house has released today the Abarth Fiat Punto Evo for the UK market. The mode selector is conveniently located on the central tunnel in front of the gear lever and lets you switch between the two modes quickly and easily, simply by moving a lever.
If you are looking for a safe, relaxing drive, all you have to do is select Normal mode, while if you feel the need to enjoy the full performance of your Fiat Punto Evo Abarth, flip the switch to Sport position and thrill to the power! Sport mode makes the car more responsive, using electrical servo systems to modify handling and deliver the ultimate sporting feel. Due attention has also been paid to safety of course, so Sport mode also engages the TTC system automatically.
As in rally cars, the driver is assisted by GSI (Gear Shift Indicator). On the Fiat Punto Evo Abarth, GSI acts like an intelligent "co-driver" and provides a signal on the instrument panel to tell you when the right moment has arrived to shift up reducing fuel consumption.
The Abarth Punto Evo is powered by Fiat Powertrain Technologies’ new 165bhp 1.4 16v MultiAir engine which can accelerate the car from 0-62mph in just 7.9 seconds, and on to a top speed of 132mph, and yet returns more than 47mpg fuel economy on the combined cycle. The 2011 Fiat Punto Abarth Evo with the same design as rally cars. The front, the bumper extended width to Incorporate the side flaps.
It’s has a 1.4 Multiair petrol engine also features Fiat’s innovative Start&Stop system. While the Start & Stop automatically switches off the engine, saving up to 10% of fuel consumption and emissions in the urban cycle and up to 3.5% in the NEDC test cycle. “And the new Abarth Punto Evo also takes forward a winning combination of its own – new technology and engineering coupled with great looks and versatility. We are very much looking forward to presenting these new cars to customers through our 19-strong UK dealer network.”
The innovative Multiair engine guarantees sports car performance plus low emissions and reduced fuel consumption. Tests carried out by Abarth engineers have demonstrated that fuel consumption has been reduced despite the fact that power output has been increased. In particular, consumption is only 8.1 l/100 km in the urban cycle; only 6.0 l/100 km in the combined cycle, and 4.8 l/100 km in the extra-urban cycle. The Multiair engine is also impressively clean and already conforms to Euro 5 standards thanks to emissions of only 142g/km.

2011 Fiat Sport Car Abarth 500C Convertible

2011 Fiat Sport Car Abarth 500C Convertible
Fiat has unveiled the exciting new Abarth 500C Convertible, the new Abarth 500C will go on sale first in Italy and shortly after in the rest of Europe. The 2011 Fiat 500C Abarth comes with a new body and exterior expanded by an elegant two-tone color scheme. In addition to enhancing the aggressive appearance of the 500C, the spoiler effectively boosts CZ loading and creates a smoother air flow.
The roof slides down while the pillars and structural roof line remains, providing a stronger chassis than a traditional soft top. An innovative spoiler slides down with the soft top. Power is at 140 hp which takes the car to 60 mph in 8.1 seconds.
A side from the male population looking for a relatively affordable cabrio with some punch, Fiat claims that the new open-topped car was also made to appeal to women customers "who seek design and elegance but also appreciate the performance of a true sports car."
The Abarth Fiat 500C is powered by a 1.4 16v Turbo T-Jet engine developing 140bhp that can take the small open top from 0 to 62 mph in 8.1 seconds. The top speed of the Abarth Fiat 500C is rated at 127mph. The car has an official fuel consumption of 43mpg.
In detail, the engine is a 1368 cc 4 cylinder 16 valve unit (turbo charged with a fixed geometry IHI RHF3-P turbocharger) that delivers exhilarating performance. Top speed is 205 km/h while acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes place in just 8.1 seconds. This is partly achieved by the overboost function, activated by the Sport button that modulates control unit mapping and turbo pressure in addition to load on the steering wheel. Yet this typically Abarth performance comes with very frugal fuel consumption: 6.5 l/100 km over a combined cycle.

News coming from Fiat

News coming from Fiat. From today it is possible to order the new Doblò Natural Power version with minimal environmental impact adopting a 1.4 16v T-jet 120 hp Euro 5 (petrol and methane) specifically developed by Fiat Powertrain Technologies and designed for maximum integration of the two plants, one petrol and one on the methane (natural gas CNG), independent of each other.

In Italy the new version is available in the fitting Active, Dynamic and Emotion with a list price (turnkey) respectively 20,500 euros, 22,000 euros and 23,500 euros. Be noted that, compared with the corresponding composition of the petrol engine, the amenities of the Natural Power version remain unchanged except for some content that may be required for technical reasons (high roof, 7 seater configuration Family, Start & Stop system and spare wheel of normal size) is standard while the outside temperature sensor.

The biggest news of the new Doblò Natural Power is the adoption of the 1.4 16v T-Jet engine significantly brighter than the 1.6 16v petrol which powered its predecessor. Thanks to turbocharging and intercooler with the presence of the wastegate, it develops a maximum power of 120 hp, both petrol and natural gas, and progressive torque (206 Nm at 2000 IBC / min) that allow him to "turn on" with ease, even with heavy loads.

Is high, therefore, the elasticity
running with reduced use of 6-speed gearbox, for a pleasant and relaxed driving. Just push on the accelerator, however, to have a spirited response, aided by the low inertia of the turbocharger that delivers the highest performance. Moreover, the new Doblò Natural Power confirms a car environment friendly reinforcing its leadership with a level of C02 emissions of 134 g / km on the combined cycle.

Placed under the floor in order to keep its useful volume of the boot (from 790 liters to 3200 liters), the four gas cylinders have a total capacity of 95 liters equal to 16.15 kg and provide a range of 325 km (which becomes 625 km if you add up the kilome through the gas tank of 22 liters). Incidentally, remember that the life of the cylinders is 20 years from date of manufacture, as ECE Regulation No. 110, while the profile of the filler gas (located near that of gasoline) is the universal type, compatible with the standard "Italy" and "NGV1. If the vehicle is registered in other countries, data for certification, identification and control procedures / inspection of gas cylinders comply with the national legislation of that State.

Fiat Uno spec and review

One of the abundant affidavit of pride for the Fiat Style Center for Latin America is the absolute action for conception of the new Fiat Uno, but this would beggarly little if the end artefact was not special. And the new Fiat Uno is special.

From the alpha of the conception process, designers formed ancillary by ancillary with a analysis studio, allurement questions, presenting proposals and accepting feedback.

The rationale: by alert to the client, it would be accessible to awning and clarify his/her suggestions in adjustment to actualize actually the car of his/her dreams. What the designers begin out was that the aboriginal Fiat Uno, the icon, should be the starting point for an actually new car. The Fiat Style Center started drafting the new car, and the analysis bent if it was actually what the applicant wanted. The answers acicular out the aisle to be followed.

The result: an actually aboriginal concept, humorously called "Round Square," which guided the absolute development of the new car.

And what is actually a annular square? Going from the figure Uno and its aboveboard shapes, the designers created the "New Square": pop and modern, the evolution. To accord it a shape, they acclimated bounds from Automated Design (industrial drawing) - instead of the acceptable attempt of Automotive Design, with its curvier, active curve - to actualize the annular curve of the new model.

Adopting the aboveboard as a reference, a car with geometrical, counterbalanced shapes was conceived. The squares with curves booty aback to Fiat Uno, but, at the aforementioned time, represent a abreast abstraction and a trend from now on. Past, present and approaching agglutinate with aggressiveness and accompany the new.
