2010 Mercedes-Benz Sport Cars Biome Concept
2010 Mercedes-Benz Sport Cars Biome Concept
Born out of the 2010 LA Auto Show’s Los Angeles Design Challenge, in which automotive designers are given free range to envision the future of transportation, the Biome is meant to blend seamlessly into the planet’s ecosystem. That means all components of the 2010 Mercedes-Benz Sport Cars Biome Concept car are “grown” organically, and it emits pure oxygen and is fully compostable at the end of its service life.

The basis for the Biome Concept is a vehicle that "grows in a completely organic environment from seeds sown in a nursery." Not only that, but it's powered by a combination of the sun and a chemical bond from an imaginary liquid dubbed BioNectar4534. It's all natural, all organic and all science fiction.
"As the inventor of the motor car, we wanted to illustrate the vision of the perfect vehicle of the future, which is created and functions in complete symbiosis with nature. The Mercedes-Benz BIOME is a natural technology hybrid, and forms part of our earth's ecosystem. It grows and thrives like the leaves on a tree" according to Hubert Lee, Head of the Mercedes-Benz Advanced Design Studios in Carlsbad.

This year the competition had called for the creation of a vision of a safe and comfortable 2+2 compact car featuring good handling and a first-class design, and weighing only 1,000 lbs (around 454 kg/kerb weight).
The 2010 Mercedes-Benz Sport Cars Biome Concept symbiosis vehicle is made from an ultralight material called BioFibre and tips the scales at just 875.5 lbs (around 394 kg). This material is significantly lighter than metal or plastic, yet more robust than steel. BioFibre is grown from proprietary DNA in the Mercedes-Benz nursery, where it collects energy from the sun and stores it in a liquid chemical bond called BioNectar4534.

The 2010 Mercedes-Benz Sport Cars Biome Concept is powered by BioNectar4534, which is stored in the BioFibre material of the chassis, interior, and wheels. In addition, Mercedes-Benz has developed a technology to equip trees with special receptors which can collect the excess solar energy and turn it into BioNectar4534. This creates a direct link with nature's energy sources and acts as an incentive to cover mobility energy requirements through more trees and at the same time maintain natural resources.
The Los Angeles Design Challenge is part of the Design Los Angeles conference, taking place from 17 to 18 November 2010 as part of the Los Angeles Auto Show.

Mercedes CLS production comes to a finish
Mercedes has ended the production of a car which effectively started an industry-wide trend of "four door coupes", the CLS coupe. The last ever model of the current generation – a black CLS550 w/ bi-xenon headlamps and AMG body-kit is destined for a U.S customer – rolled off the production line today.
However, CLS enthusiasts needn’t worry as the second generation of the coupe is on its way, and is expected to premiere at the Paris motorshow in early October.

2012 Mercedes-Benz CLS Spy Shots
2012 Mercedes-Benz CLS Leaked Ahead of World Premiere. 17 August 2010. We've accepted it was advancing for some time now, and photos assuming it about undisguised
Surprise, abruptness – Mercedes-Benz is alive on an AMG adaptation of its next-generation CLS-Class auto sedan. Our spies afresh bent this ancestor out and about, and beneath all of that cladding is what we brainstorm to be an badly attractive, steroid-enhanced adaptation of the new CLS body. We'll booty one in black, please.
Shapely curve aside, the best important allotment of any AMG car is what's beneath the hood, and the CLS AMG will absolutely backpack wallop. Apprehend Benz's new 5.5-liter twin-turbo V8 to be beneath the bonnet, as this will rapidly become accepted blueprint for Benz's V8-powered AMG cars. We've already apprehend about this comminute in the new S63 and CL63, so apprehend the CLS to accompany about 540 application and 590 pound-feet of torque to the table, admitting we accept that an upgraded achievement amalgamation will be available, accretion these achievement numbers

2010 Mercedes E-Class

Following tons of spy shots (Mercedes E-Class variants spied in Germany, '09 Mercedes E-Class sheds disguise, Mercedes E-Class coupe exposed in the snow, Mercedes E-Class AMG sedan spied on the Nurburgring, Next generation Mercedes E-Class spied and Mercedes CLK Coupé spied in Stuttgart), Mercedes accidently posted official images of the new 2010 E-Class sedan on the German Merc website.
Based upon the Mercedes ConceptFascination, the new E-Class has grown in size (4950mm), length and width for more comfort and interior space. Safety has been a paramount consideration of course and we see that in the new impact absorbing bonnet that pops up 5cm to lessen injury to cyclists or pedestrians in a low speed collision. There's also a system that recognises potential collisions and warns through the driver's pedal that it's time to brake. In addition, top-spec UK models will receive LED day-time running lights.
Existing technologies for Mercedes like Night Vision are to be found, and new ones such as blind spot and lane departure warning. New generation diesels E200 CDI, E220 CDI and E250 CDI give the frugal potential owners plenty of choice while the E300 CDI and E350 BlueTec come into play higher up. We know there are petrol variants too including the formidable E-Class AMG which should produce around 600bhp.
The debut of the 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class is happening at the 2009 Geneva International motorshow along with the E-Class Coupe. The E-Class Cabriolet will appear at the 2009 Frankfurt later.

Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 shine on Monterey
This image below speaksfor all. All you really need to know is that this isn't Dubai, Russia or even Germany – it's right here in Monterey for classic car week. You can probably identify the Mercedes-Benz inside that shiny wrapper on your own, but just in case you've recently taken an amnesia-inducing blow to the head, it's the Monterey SLS AMG GT3 – the race version of the company's new gullwing sports car. There's something to be said for having a mirror with you wherever you go, but this is a bit extreme. No matter, we think it looks amazing, even if it is just a wrap and not a polished car that's been stripped of its white paint to shed precious ounces before a race.
