The Eurocommission has fined Peugeot Citroen on 44,5 million euro

French autoconcern PSA Peugeot Citroen has won the claim about decrease in the penalty appointed the European commission, on 10% — from 49,5 million to 44,55 million euro. The court recognised, that the Eurocommission has overestimated influence of actions Peugeot on the automobile market.

Let's remind, that the penalty has been imposed on the company in October, 2005 of that a motor-car manufacturer and the Netherlands division contrary to the antimonopoly law forbade local dealers to sell cars to citizens of other EU countries. The reason of such interdiction was that cost of cars in the Netherlands because of a difference in the taxation more low, than in neighbouring countries.
